Overseed Transition  Ten straight months of above average temperatures and consistent rain events this spring has the golf courses slightly ahead of the calendar schedule. The GCM team has already dropped mowing heights to allow more sunlight to hit the soil which will encourage bermudagrass growth. This process is extremely critical to our transition from overseeding, and shifts the competitive advantage from the cool season grass (ryegrass) to the warm season grass (bermuda). All overseeded areas are currently mowed at 0.450" and we will slowly continue to work down until the bermuda has reached full growth potential. The GCM team is confident this year's transition will be smoother than last year. There will always be areas that do not transition well and we will react quickly to resolve any issues.
